I told you about Ross this fall. The young man can go and go at a fast pace. He plays head up and north-south. Ross has the ability to help his team make a huge state playoff run. With the ball in Ross’ hands, and a talented team around him, sky is the limit.

– Received his 3rd offer from Mott Community College
– Received his 2nd offer from Detroit Community Christian College
Ross is going off in his senior season. I first got a glimpse of his speed and explosiveness at a David Barns Showcase. In my opinion, Mott and DC3 are ahead of the game with these offers to this prolific lead guard.

I have no doubt that Ross is a college level point guard. I’ve had my eye on his game since last summer and he never disappoints. Ross is playing at a high speed and can score from multiple levels. Want a PG that can score? He recently dropped 27 points. Want a PG that can dish? He just had a 14 assist outing.

Grab a water and snap the seat belt when you sit down to watch Ross play. You can’t take your eyes off him when he’s in the game because he’s a constant threat to score. Ross is a true 3 level scorer and quick as can be with the ball with both hands.

Ross is a straight-up bucket. He can flat out shoot the ball and score from every level. He is a short, stocky, and strong guard and this allows him to be really good at creating and absorbing contact when attacking the rim. Ross does the bulk of his scoring from beyond the arch. He has unlimited range and shoots it at a high volume. He also is a great competitor.

College coaches take note of this young man. To pat myself on the back, I really thought that Ross would be critical in this game and certainly was. It was Ross’ huge second half that helped will his team to victory. He took over and scored all 15 of his points in the final 2 quarters.

Ross has been ready for this season. I saw him play in the fall and he was intense and focused on maximizing the talent on the Powers roster this season. Ross is an electric guard that was named first team All-SVL. He can score and distribute and can play the game at any pace.

Ross definitely caught my eye at City Slam. The young man was one of the most influential perimeter players in the gym. Whether is was creating a turnover or hitting a big bucket, he always had a say in the outcome. Ross showed on Saturday that he’s a player for college coaches to keep an eye on.

Ross is a really talented player that deserves to have a scout’s eyes on his game. I’d like to be that scout at the City Slam event. He’s bouncy on his way to the rim, can be creative and finish off 1 or 2 feet with effectiveness.
