There’s a lot of popular names in this article but Long Island has a few hidden gems most people don’t know. Thompson Jr is a great example because he’s a football star at Whitman and has also developed into a quality basketball prospect. He’s a quick twitch athlete that has speed, he moves well laterally, he separates from defenders easily and just loves to compete. His time on the grid iron has been great this season but he’s a serious candidate for Section XI player of the year.
