Hightower continued to prove that he’s a high-level scorer at Saturday’s showcase. The 5-foot-10 guard has a really interesting-looking shot, but he made threes at a high level during his second game and looked quite consistent from the perimeter. As usual, he also showcased good touch in the lane with both hands and was able to get all the way to the rim and finish on a number of occasions. I was most impressed, though, with his willingness and ability to slide his feet and stay with guys for 94 feet. I still think Hightower has to majorly improve his shot-selection, but he can really score the basketball and should get minutes at BC High this season.

Hightower is a scorer. The ball can occasionally get sticky in his hands, but he certainly has the ability to put the ball in the hoop. The 5-foot-10 guard has insanely long arms and uses his ambidextrous ability to finish with both hands at the cup, but he can also hit jumpers in the mid-range despite his unique-looking shot. Hightower has solid vision, but he needs to lean into his facilitation capabilities a bit more. Once he does, the rising sophomore at BC High will be a really solid player and potentially a college prospect if the physical developments come as well.

Hightower, a guard out of Boston College High School in Massachusetts, makes his first appearance on the Watch List in this update. A quick, playmaking guard, Hightower has really impressed at the JV level this winter, averaging over 20 points per game on the season. The lefty does a great job of playing off a live dribble, surveying the floor with his eyes, and making reads that lead to easy scoring opportunities for his teammates. He can really shoot the ball from behind the arc, does a nice job of pushing the tempo in transition, and has some real creativity around the rim as a finisher.
