Smith, a forward out of Canton High School in Massachusetts, was a difference maker for MCIB during afternoon action on Saturday. The 6’3″ forward has good positional size, moves well laterally, and does a nice job of playing within himself on the offensive end of the floor. He sets solid screens, rolls hard to the rim, and finishes with either hand around the basket. He even showed the ability to attack the rim as a straight line driver off of a few bounces. Defensively, he uses his frame to his advantage as a rebounder and has the ability to defend on the perimeter in short stretches with good lateral mobility.

Smith, a 6’3″ wing out of Wellesley High School in Massachusetts, makes his first appearance in the 2028 rankings on the Watch List. Smith is a disruptive defender that has the mobility to stay in front of guards and the length needed to defend forwards around the basket. He rebounds it at a high rate, makes plays in passing lanes, and can really guard the ball in space. Offensively, he has the ability to finish with either hand around the rim and shows some touch on his jumper in the mid-range, where he could develop into a face-up threat.

Smith, an athletic wing out of Wellesley High School in Massachusetts, is an active defender and athletic rim finisher. He does a nice job of using his length to his advantage on the offensive end of the floor, showing good burst as a driver and some vertical explosiveness in the paint. Defensively, he’s capable of guard up and down a lineup, showing the ability to stay in front of guards on the perimeter and use his length in the post. He blocks shots around the rim, makes plays in passing lanes, and is disruptive guarding on the ball.
