About Jake

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m an all around threat on both sides of the floor. I showcase my offensive skills with my ability to finish through contact, make the right reads with my IQ, and ability to shoot on the perimeter. Also on the offensive side I show my paint control and a very effective mid range on and off the dribble. On the defensive side, I show energy by guarding multiple positions, rebounding, and charges.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a competitor and I don’t like to lose. Whenever I step on the court, I believe nobody can mess with me. Lastly I lead by example on the court and off the court.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I serve as an Alter Server in my school as the Processional Cross that helps me with my faith in God.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Every year I serve multiple hours to people in need showcasing my dedication to helping the community. Also I’m a Peer Minister showcasing my leaderships as a role model to others in life and in my faith.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I had faced an elbow injury where a bone from my UCL detached. I was out from August to December where in November to December my Grandma was sick with Pancreatic Cancer and passed away in early December. It was very hard when she passed away considering she was my biggest fan. She was always the caring one no matter who you were and that’s my who I try to be even though I’m not the best at it.
