Williams had one of the best summers of any player in the state, and he has carried that momentum into the high school season, putting together another dominant performance in Senior’s overtime win over Linn-Mar. An athletic 6-6 lefty with great footwork, excellent touch, and the ability to finish through contact at ridiculous angles, Williams put up 23 points on 10-15 shooting (1-1 3P, 2-2 FT) to go with 11 rebounds, 2 assists, and 4 steals. He is in constant motion on the offensive end and does a great job sealing his defender and making quick decisions on his post catches.

Few players in the state had a better spring and summer than Williams did with the Iowa Mavs , where he was routinely one of the best players on the floor. An athletic 6-5/6-6 forward who had previously done most of his damage off of offensive rebounds or passes to him around the rim, he showed an impressive face-up game throughout the grassroots season, including a smooth stroke from the arc and the ability to attack off the dribble. He has a great second jump that he uses to snatch rebounds out of nowhere, and with his improved jumper will be a major asset for the Rams this season, helping space the floor. He averaged 12.4 points and 7.6 rebounds a game as a junior.

Few players in the state had a better spring and summer than Williams did with the Mavericks. He was dominant as a scorer and rebounder, controlling games nearly every weekend with his combination of length, athleticism, and talent. Primarily used as a back-to-the-basket forward in high school, he was impressive as a face-up weapon throughout the summer, showing the ability to stretch the floor or attack off the dribble, an added weapon that makes him even more dangerous. He has a great second jump and is a relentless rebounder on both ends of the floor.
