Jacob Meyer
About Jacob
Expert Analysis
Brady Kennedy | Prep Hoops Scout
Meyer solidified himself this week that he deserves to be in conversations for Mr. Basketball. He was relentless all week scoring the basketball and did all he could to lead Holy Cross. He was on fire getting to the rim making tough shots but it was the best I had seen him shoot it from distance. If he can continue to develop his jump shot and become more consistent, bigger schools will have no choice but to enter the sweepstakes to get him on campus next fall. Love his game and should be on a ton of college coaches radar.

This was my first time watching Meyer live and he sure did not disappoint. On film it is hard to tell how strong and athletic he is but seeing him up close, you immediately notice he has a college ready body. He scored an effortless 29 points shooting 57% from the field. I was most impressed with how hard he plays and initiates contact. He was at his best when the game was uptempo and physical. Was great finishing around the rim and pulling up to shoot mid-range jump shots. Although 3pt shooting isn’t the best part of his game, he was able to knock down two from distance. I walked away very impressed with Meyer’s game.
