Bird was a problem in transition, constantly finding opportunities to attack and create offense. He keeps his head on a swivel and does a great job reading the floor, whether it’s finding a teammate or taking advantage of an opening himself. It was target practice from beyond the arc as Bird consistently knocked down open threes. His vocal leadership and unselfish play make everyone around him better.

Bird made one of the biggest jumps in the class this past season. He went from a bench role as a freshman to the go-to guy as a sophomore, setting multiple school records along the way. Averaging 8 assists per game, Bird proved he can control an offense at a high level. He’s more than just a passer, his shifty handle allows him to get to his spots, where he can knock down pull-up threes and midrange shots efficiently. Playing with Team Speights this summer will give him another platform to keep building.
