Atkinson is the type of player who proves you don’t need the ball in your hands every possession to impact a game. He plays with a very high basketball IQ and constantly finds ways to create offense through movement, timing, and positioning. He hurt defenses all day with backdoor cuts, spot-up shooting, and smart movement off the ball that consistently put him in the right place at the right time. Atkinson also knocked down multiple threes and showed good feel as a passer when defenses rotated toward him. His ability to play within the flow of the offense was a huge factor in his team making a strong run to cut into a large deficit and make the game competitive late.
