Schmitt does a nice job attacking the baseline and putting pressure on defenses when he gets the ball in his hands. He runs the floor well in transition and consistently gets himself into position for high-percentage scoring opportunities. Schmitt also shows flashes as a floor spacer, demonstrating the ability to step out and knock down shots when called upon. Around the basket, he capitalizes on second-chance opportunities and does a good job converting extra possessions into points. Defensively, he displays solid timing as a shot contester, using his instincts to disrupt opposing scorers. As he continues to develop, adding more weight and strength to his frame will help him better handle bigger and more physical opponents. With his skill set and room for growth, Schmitt’s best basketball is still ahead of him.
