He was a constant point of attention for the defense in this one, and he still found ways to make his impact felt. He saw the floor well and did a nice job moving without the ball, working to create separation even while being face-guarded for much of the game. His activity off the ball stood out, as he relocated, cut with purpose, and stayed available as a scoring option. Novak’s left-handed stroke looked clean and fluid, and his shooting touch was evident throughout the contest. Despite the defensive focus, he was able to get open at key moments and make the defense pay.
