Hogan, I watched in Waubay/Summit’s matchup versus Warner after posting the 2028 rankings. He was matched-up with fellow highly-ranked 2028 prospect

. So that was great for evaluation purposes.
I’m openly admitting I’ve completely slept on him as easily a Top 10 prospect in an insanely crowded group. Hlvacek was a varsity starter and plays away from the ball on the perimeter quite well for a 6’5” Freshman. I adjusted his primary and secondary next-level position projection. He can already put the ball on the floor and get to the hoop from the 3-point line. Also, a solid jumper that seems to be improving as well. He could be a highly versatile four or round out to be a true wing if he continues developing well. High level vertical and gets off the floor to reach a ridiculous high point. If I were to redo the Top 10, I’d have him around #5-#8 ranked prospect.

Hogan was with James Valley Thunder ‘s top 14U team, and he’s a highly-athletic versatile Big. Moves extremely well and can run the floor at a high level. He has a long and athletic frame at 6’4”. A versatile defender that can defend multiple positions and is not a liability defending away from the hoop. Can really jump and get off the ground to high-point the ball for rebounds. He boxes out and attacks the ball. Brought down a bunch of boards for James Valley Thunder and was counted on in that category. One of the top prospects in the class in terms of his size/athleticism combination. He could be considered a top 10-15 prospect from what we know at this time. I think he offers some upside.
