We have Hayven on the watch list, but after his last few performances, we are ready to insert this sophomore into the rankings. Played on Great Northern Elite ‘s 15U last spring as well as in their fall league, so we’ve been able to catch a lot of his game. He is a developing sophomore, but he has the handles of a seasoned senior. Over the next year or two, as he builds muscle and foot speed, he will no question be on the all-UP list and plenty of college radars. He is a superb ball handler and can get to the basket and score. He finishes well and can also heat up from beyond the arc.

I included Hayven on my 2027 players-to-watch list, and for excellent reason, this kid can flat out BALL. He can shoot, attack the basket, sit down and play D, and has the the charisma to be a team’s floor general. There are some heavy hitters in this fall league, but I would include Hayven in my league MVP conversation all day long. I’m certain Coach Hanson will be pulling Hayven up to varsity at some point and he should be impactful immediately. Again, Escanaba will look to be competitive this year in league play, and with Hayven’s ability to play lock-down defense, he should be a big part of that.
