He’s great going downhill in the pick and roll making good use of the hostage/jail dribble. Hasi excels at manipulating defenders around the rim, passing amongst the trees in the lane and delivering the ball to cutters or shooters while somehow staying in bounds. He gets to the line alot and converts free throws at a high rate. Hasi finished the game with 15 points and 4 assists

Mayben has emerged as a consistent scoring presence for Darrow, providing reliable production night in and night out. He is a confident shooter who can knock down shots from the perimeter and punish defenses that give him space. Off the bounce, his quick first step allows him to get to the basket and put pressure on defenders. Once he gets downhill, he shows the ability to finish through contact and convert in traffic. Mayben plays with high energy, staying aggressive and engaged throughout the game. His willingness to attack closeouts keeps the defense honest and opens up scoring opportunities. With his blend of shooting, speed, and competitiveness, he remains a tough cover for opposing guards.

Mayben was, in my opinion, Darrow’s best player this weekend in their 1-1 showing. The 6-foot-2 guard showed an awesome ability to control the game in a win against Brimmer. He has excellent vision and is under-control at all time—one no-look pass he threw for an easy layup impressed me quite a lot—but his shot also looks more compact and consistent than it ever has. He shot the ball well from three this weekend, and that’ll certainly help his recruitment if he keeps it up. The senior guard is also phenomenal defensively and has some pretty excellent conditioning as evidenced by his effort level on both ends and his minutes/load.

Mayben is the straw that stirs the drink for Darrow. The 6-foot-1 point guard runs the offensive show with a great head on his shoulders; he looks to get his teammates involved and comfortable offensively but also knows when to attack and search for his own shots. He’s super quick off the dribble, incredibly strong in the lane, and can make shots from both the mid range and three. He also threw some incredibly impressive passes against a stout Cushing defense. Defensively, he’s a dog who communicates very well and is always playing hard. Mayben is a coach’s dream and will make an impact at the division 1 level because of his toughness, physicality, and IQ.

Mayben is a name that’s being heard more and more thanks to his impressive performances on the court. He’s a downhill guard who attacks the basket with confidence and control. His scoring versatility allows him to finish at the rim, pull up in the midrange, or knock down shots from deep. With his growing reputation and all-around offensive game, Mayben continues to make a strong impression.
