Neumann was extremely methodic in his approach— demonstrating the ability to punish closeouts, attacking decisively and finishing with strength and toughness as well as with craftiness and touch in traffic at the rim while also being just as effective an attacker and finisher in transition, converting on such opportunities in the open floor.

Neumann is a versatile scorer that plays within the flow of an offense as he does not force anything he knows he can’t make. His ability to get to the rim is impressive because of the drag-step move he uses which allows him to get that extra bit of time and space to go up for the layup over multiple defenders. His shot is very quick which makes it difficult to get any sort of effective contest on it. Neumann also plays the pick-n-roll game well setting up his teammates for open shots or taking the open lane himself to the rim.
