WHY? I watched him last winter against Bismarck and Zerr struck me as a fleet-footed athlete. He is a pesky and frustrating defender that is no stranger to turning the ball over. It will be fun to see him get into ballhandlers at the Expo. He is a highly productive rebounder for a guard. Gunner is explosive in transition and he thrives in up-tempo situations. I fully expect Zerr to be playing fast and furious at the Expo.

He averaged 11.8 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 3 apg, 2.7 spg in the tough WDA last season. Zerr is fleet of foot and an annoying on-ball defender. He pressures and reacts quickly to the ball. Gunner is fast and a good finisher in transition. He is also effective slashing to the cup.

He was may be considered a “breakout player” last season. However, we think he will be even better and make more noise this season. Gunner is a stat stuffer that averaged 10.8 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 3.5 apg, 2.8 spg, and shot a nice 43.3 FG%. Gunner is a very good rebounder for a guard. On defense he has good instincts that lead to TO’s. Get ready for a highly productive season from Mr. Zerr.
