Will Armishaw | Prep Hoops Scout
Mordini, a forward out of the Avon Old Farms School in Connecticut, checks in at #6 among the centers and #47 overall. Mordini is an athletic 6’11” big man with plus length and impressive fluidity of movement. He’s an elite finisher around the rim, is a quick second jumper, and does a great job of chasing down offensive rebounds. He has the ability to operate as a roll guy or pop man out of screens and can consistently knock down threes out of catch and shoot situations. Beyond that, he does a great job of cleaning up on the defensive glass and is a high level shot blocker, both on the ball and from the help side. Mordini has yet to announce his future plans.

Mordini, a forward out of the Avon Old Farms School in Connecticut, makes his first appearance in the rankings at #58. Originally mislabeled as a 2027 in our last update, Mordini finds himself just outside of the Top 50 after a strong start to his post-graduate year at Avon Old Farms. The 6’11” big is long, mobile, and athletic – a combination that allows him to make a big time impact on both ends of the floor. He’s impressed with his ability to protect the rim, touch out to the three point line, and understanding of how to find his scoring within the flow of the offense. On top of that, he has a huge catch radius and is one of the better rim runners in the region.

Mordini, a forward out of the Avon Old Farms School, was among the most impressive rim-protectors that we saw all weekend at Holy Cross. The forward has terrific positional size and length and showed great instincts and timing as a shot blocker, both when walling up on the ball and when coming from the help side to deter opponents at the rim. He’s a plus athlete that does a good job of running the floor in transition, shows some touch out to the perimeter, and is aggressive as a finisher around the basket.

Long and mobile prospect. A highly versatile prospect, he demonstrates scoring ability from both the midrange and beyond the arc. His impressive wingspan makes him a consistent shot-blocking presence on the defensive end. I was particularly impressed with his rebounding instincts and his ability to quickly initiate transition opportunities off the glass.

Mordini, a talented big man, checks into the rankings for the first time after transferring into the Avon Old Farms School. He debuts at #81 and should make an immediate impact in the NESCAC with his presence around the rim. The big man is a long and athletic 6’11”, with the ability to quickly cover space and solid instincts on the defensive end of the floor. He’s a great shot blocker coming out of rotations, does a nice job of rebounding in traffic, and can really run the floor in transition. Offensively, he’s a serious lob threat in the half-court and plays with a high motor as an offensive rebounder.
