Reed has really put together a productive summer. The 5-11 point guard scores efficiently from the perimeter, breaks down defenders off the bounce, and consistently creates quality looks for teammates once help arrives. Needs more looks; he competes fearlessly, finishes through contact, and defends with intensity. His overall body of work should continue opening recruiting doors.

Gavin proved to be one of the more creative lead guards in attendance, as he showed a really good understanding of how to run the show while constantly putting pressure on opposing defenses. He possesses really good court vision and keeps his head up, allowing him to create quality scoring opportunities for teammates while also knowing when to become aggressive himself. He thrives attacking downhill where his quick first step, shiftiness, and change of pace make him difficult to contain. His crossover consistently creates separation, allowing him to get into the paint or quickly rise into his jumper. Once he gets defenders on their heels, he becomes a difficult cover because of his ability to score or distribute.

Reed impressed with his pace and command of the offense. He consistently broke defenders down off the dribble, created quality looks for himself and teammates, and knocked down perimeter shots when left open. His defensive activity also stood out, using quick hands and anticipation to disrupt opposing guards and generate transition opportunities.

Reed is one of the fastest guards I have watched all spring. He is a team first point guard who plays with confidence and does a great job controlling the tempo of the game. He’s dominant getting downhill and finishes well at the rim using either hand, while also showing comfort pulling up from the midrange. Reed can extend his game beyond the arc, giving defenses another thing to account for. He is great in ball screen scenarios, consistently making smart reads and finding open teammates. He reads the roll tag well which opens up a ton of 3s from the shake on the back side. Defensively, he brings pressure at the point of attack and makes life tough for opposing guards. His overall feel for the game and two way impact make him a strong college level guard.

Another member of a talented Coral Glades High School team that went 21–8 this season, Reed is a quick, smart, and highly skilled lead guard. He is a reliable decision maker with a strong handle, can knock down open shots, and consistently plays under control. Reed has the ability to create his own offense off the dribble while also serving as a capable passer who keeps teammates involved.

Reed is a quick, smart, and skilled lead guard who averaged 13.2 points and 4 assists per game while shooting an impressive 48% from beyond the arc. He plays with strong command of the basketball, makes reliable decisions, and consistently puts his team in position to succeed. A solid perimeter shooter with efficiency and range, he can both score and facilitate at a high level. The high academic prospect also brings value on the defensive end of the floor.

The skilled junior turned in an impressive performance in the Jaguars’ win over the host school, The Villages. Reed was excellent as both a shot-maker and shot-creator, showing the ability to score off the catch or off the dribble. He has above-average foot speed, handles the ball well, and changes speeds effectively to keep defenders off balance. His continued development makes him a prospect college coaches should monitor closely over the next six months.

This skilled lead guard is trending upward and will move up in our next rankings update based on the strong junior season he continues to put together. Reed is highly polished with the ball, a reliable decision-maker, and one of the top shooters in the state. He finished with 13 points on Saturday at the Wally Keller Classic, showcasing his ability to score both off the dribble and on the catch. With excellent shot preparation and a quick, efficient release, Reed consistently makes defenses pay for even the smallest mistakes.
