McConnell is one of the younger prospects who gave us reason to look beyond his age and evaluate what he is already doing on the floor. He showed flashes of skill and an understanding of where to find opportunities within the game rather than simply relying on being one of the youngest players in the gym. His continued physical and skill development will determine how much his game expands, but there is enough there to make him an interesting long-term follow.

He was a key part of his team’s Sunday afternoon championship victory, knocking down big shots to help secure the win. He finished the game with 16 points, including three three-pointers, to go along with four steals in the championship victory.
