Hicks had stretches where it felt like he couldn’t miss, spraying jumpers from all over the floor. The long 6-foot-3 guard creates space with a smooth, extended crossover before rising up from deep, and he’s comfortable stopping on a dime in transition to knock down shots before the defense can recover. While he can be streaky, when he gets going, he can pile up points in a hurry. His ability to elevate on his jumper allows him to shoot over contests, making him tough to guard. With his size and athleticism, he has the tools to be more than just a perimeter scorer—he can get downhill and finish. The next step is balancing shot selection and not settling too often. Defensively, his length gives him upside as a disruptive on-ball presence. The pieces are there for a breakout senior year.
