About Evan

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I like to fight for position in the post, grab rebounds. I will guard anyone, doesn't matter on age or height. Im working on becoming a 3 level scorer, I can shoot middy's and 3s but I always wanna get better.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

On the court, I’m locked in. I don’t care who I’m playing whether they’re older than me or bigger than me. I’m gong after the ball and I’m gonna do whatever it takes to win.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

In school we have a thing called star challenge. It’s like middle school honors for English. I’m a part of that and I’m gonna get an award at the end of the year for being in it for three years in middle school.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve learned to step up in my community and if my community needs help, then I will do what they need and that’s taught me how to help and put other people first.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

In the beginning of the school year, I dislocated my kneecap and tore my patella tendons. That put me on the sidelines for 7 to 8 months. I had to do physical therapy and that taught me how to be determined and really fight back to be on the court. (Thank god i’m back healthier than ever now!)

What type of college are you looking for?

Obviously , I’m only an eighth grade right now but when I get to the point where I’m gonna look at colleges, I want a college that I will be playing early at and getting a some PT. I also want a coach that cares about his players
