About Ethan

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a 6’5” power forward/center who plays with physicality, discipline, and a focus on winning possessions. I control the paint with rebounding, shot‑blocking, and smart interior defense. On offense, I set strong screens, finish through contact, and make unselfish plays for my teammates. My game is built on effort, toughness, and consistency—bringing energy every possession.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a high‑character, team‑first player who shows up every day ready to work hard. I’m coachable, dependable, and always willing to do the tough jobs that help my team win. I balance strong academics with a solid work ethic, and I try to bring a steady attitude and a mindset that helps me and my teammates keep improving.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a 3.9 GPA student‑athlete taking rigorous Pre‑AP and AP courses, committed to excellence in both academics and athletics. Active in TSA and Beta Club, showing leadership, curiosity, and a strong interest in engineering and problem‑solving. Volunteers with the Buddy Ball Basketball program for special‑needs children, demonstrating character, patience, and dedication to serving others.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Basketball has helped me become a better leader and teammate by teaching me how to communicate and stay focused. Keeping a 3.9 GPA in Pre‑AP and AP classes has made me more responsible and organized. Being in TSA and Beta Club has helped me work well with others and solve problems. Volunteering with the Buddy Ball Basketball team has taught me patience, kindness, and how to support my community.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

In 7th grade, even though I was the tallest player, I wasn’t a starter at first. Instead of getting frustrated, I used it as motivation to improve my skills and prove I could help the team. That hard work paid off, and by junior high I earned a starting spot. The experience taught me to stay focused, keep working, and never expect anything to be handed to me.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that values hard work, strong character, and academic excellence. I want a school with a solid engineering program where I can grow as both a student and an athlete. I’m hoping to join a team that pushes each other, has good leadership, and feels like a family. Most of all, I want a college that challenges me and supports my goals on and off the court.
