Luna showcased his ability as an on ball defender, applying pressure and forcing opposing guards into difficult situations. He was particularly effective at creating turnovers, using quick hands to pluck the ball away and disrupt ball handlers. Luna played with an aggressive edge, which at times led to forcing plays offensively but his defensive effort allowed him to recover and create additional possessions for his team. His anticipation in passing lanes helped him generate steals and transition opportunities. With continued development in decision making on offense, Luna’s defensive ability positions him as a guard capable of making a strong impact on both ends of the floor.

Luna is a pure PG and what stood out about him was his ability to push the pace and play at this speed. He had no issues adapting to the physicality and he made his mark by running the offense and keeping the offense moving. He was in every play and took care of the ball. He found the open man and moved without the ball and that is great to see in a young player trying to find his way. I gravitate towards small guards but he really made an impression on taking care of the ball despite pressure. I’ll continue to watch for Luna.
