About Ethan

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Im always looking to score but I also look for the open teammates. I like to think I play winning basketball doing whatever my team needs for me in order to win.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am always working on my game. I want to be the best and will work to be the best. I am not and have never been afraid of a challenge.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

National Honors Society, A-Honor Role

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through basketball I have developed high amounts of leadership. This is because even as a sophomore I was look up to by my teammates that were even older than me. This forced me to always keep my head up and get to work.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My father passed away and that itself has been the biggest challenge I have faced. From this I learned how to never take anything for granted meaning I will work for what I want.

Kniseley anchored the Blair/Taylor backcourt with his two-way play and relentless energy. A hard-nosed defender and capable shooter, he made life difficult for opposing guards. He also contributed timely scoring for his squad. He averaged 12.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.2 steals per game. His top performance came against Eleva-Strum, where he finished with 24 points and 6 steals, including back-to-back threes to turn the momentum late.

I’ve caught a very limited amount of Ethan’s play with Chippewa Valley Select on the Prep Hoops Circuit, and I was looking forward to seeing him play in this event. He did not disappoint. Kniseley has a high basketball IQ and pairs that with a strong body and athleticism to offset less than optimal height. He is solid in all phases. He will take on larger players, driving to the hoop and keeping his body between the defender and the ball to convert over them or draw the foul. He leverages his ability to drive and score to also drive and kick, giving his teammates open looks on the perimeter. When on the perimeter himself, Ethan can and will knock down the three-ball. Ethan doesn’t let up on the defensive end and is an aggressive on-ball defender.
