Evans stood out on Cheltenham’s roster last season as a freshman with size suiting up on the varsity, but is slotting into the Panthers’ starting lineup as a sophomore and showed some promising building blocks on Saturday. A big and physical frontcourt presence, he has no problem banging bodies around the rim while serving as an effective dumpoff threat and rebounder in his area. He looks to have solid hands and flashed hints of passing feel. While still rough around the edges, there’s clearly plenty to work with as Evans continues getting more up to speed in the varsity rotation.
