Lawrence, a big man out of Bridgeport Prep in Connecticut, checks in at #6 among the centers and #42 overall. Lawrence is still somewhat raw, but has physical traits that are rare. He’s a long 6’10” that moves well in space and shows some developing athletic pop. He’s done a nice job of improving his ability to play through contact in the paint, particularly as a finisher around the rim. Defensively, his size and length are an asset as a rebounder, but even more so in allowing him to alter shots around the rim.

Lawrence is a space eating post player whose bread and butter is when he is playing inside. He shows he can score using some post moves and is always a threat to play above the rim. His broad frame allows him to be an anchor down low and not get pushed around by other players. His big paws allow for him to collect rebounds effortlessly. He is a brick wall screener who will be a point guards best friend in the half court. He continues to get better with experience.

Lawrence, an athletic big man out of Bridgeport Prep in Connecticut, stands out with his ability to make plays above the rim on both ends of the floor. At 6’8″ with long arms, he does a great job of making plays on the defensive end of the floor. He’s a high level shot blocker and is disruptive in passing lanes, turning steals into transition scoring opportunities. Offensively, he covers ground quickly with long strides and uses his length as a finisher around the rim. He’s a lob threat, rolls hard to the rim out of ball screens, and is a twitchy athlete out of the dunker spot.
