-Even in an all star showcase environment, Chukwurah showed his ability as a versatile defensive prospect with a sequence where he blocked two shots and stole the ensuing inbounds pass to initiate a fastbreak for his team. He is effective defensively both on and off the ball as an instinctual prospect that reads the flow of the offense and his matchups eyes well to come up with deflections and steals that lead to high percentage looks. Chukwurah also knocked down a corner 3, served as an effective passer from the wings, and was active on the glass throughout the game. High academic prospect.

-Have to start things off with the the Defensive Player of the Year in Montgomery County. Chukwurah was a ferocious on-ball defender particularly skilled at applying ball pressure and turning steals or deflections into points at the opposite ends of the floor. Our scouts thought that he was equally effectively defensively off the ball, rotating well to block shots both on the perimeter and around the basket within Poolesville’s defensive schemes.
