Ibidapo, a junior forward out of Shea High School, is one of the more intriguing prospects in 2027 out of Rhode Island. Like his brother, he is incredibly long and lean with tremendous defensive versatility. He does a nice job of guarding at the point of attack, covers ground quickly in rotation, and uses his length to cause a high number of steals and deflections. Offensively, he’s comfortable with the ball in his hands, showing a knack for getting into the paint and making plays around the rim. On top of that, he’s a quality offensive rebounder that scores a lot of points off put backs.

Ibidapo, an athletic forward out of Shea High School in Rhode Island, has all the makings of a defensive stopper at the next level. He’s bouncy around the rim, super long physically, and plays with a good motor, all of which helps him to defend ones through fives, typically including the other team’s best scorer. Offensively, he makes plays as a scorer in transition, has done a lot of work to improve his handle as a slasher, and continues to show some potential as a shot maker in catch and shoot situations.

Ibidapo, who has an impressive combination of athleticism and length, has the potential to be one of the best perimeter defenders in the class. One of the longest prospects in the class, he’s a quick second jumper that covers ground in a hurry. He’s already a disruptive on both defender that has both quick hands and great lateral mobility. Offensively, he does a good job of running the floor in transition, cleans up on the offensive glass, and has even shown flashes of consistency from behind the arc. He’s a tough cover off the bounce and should only continue to get better as he adds strength.
