Eli has just been selected as the Eastern UP Conference Player of the Year, and I don’t think there was even a close 2nd. If you’ve ever watched him, you will notice he is by far the hardest working kid on the floor. His tempo seems to resonate throughout the rest of his team, as they all respond well to his effort. He had an MVP performance last Friday in the district final game, helping lift Pickford past the Islanders. I expect him to stand up big tonight and put up another POY performance.

Like Eli’s contributions to an excellent Pickford team. He matches up well against Harbor Springs’ Bartel and both are similar to where they can catch fire from beyond the arc at any moment. Eli consistently impresses us with his work ethic and ability to jump out of the gym. A testament to his athleticism, he leads the team in double-doubles and usually leads the stat column in rebounds on both teams. Second-chance points and low turnovers is going to be the key to this game and Eli will need to take charge in both categories.
