Eduardo Soto’s ability to win the battle for loose balls around the basket was a major part of his success at the East CP3 National Middle School Combine. His strong hands allowed him to grab rebounds cleanly and maintain control of the basketball despite contact from defenders. Soto was especially effective when attacking missed shots on the offensive end, turning possessions that appeared finished into new scoring chances for his team. He was equally committed to his responsibilities defensively, making sure opponents had to work for anything near the basket. His toughness, determination and ability to capitalize on rebounding opportunities added considerable value to his team’s interior production.
