Cruz shot it well early in a tough match up and caught the eye for an unorthodox shooting from. While kind of funky at first glance, it gives him a quicker release and does not appear to diminish his effectiveness. The lefty shoots it effortlessly from a few steps beyond the three point line. And even hit in the mid-range when ran off the line. A quick check of his hudl shows he had a productive junior as a sharpshooter in the Texas panhandle.
