Dylan Rader
About Dylan
Expert Analysis
Terry Drake | Prep Hoops Scout
Dylan is a skilled, heady, and confident PG with the ability to make plays on the perimter as well as inside the arc off the bounce. He can handle the rock, create separation off the bounce, make tough shots, and use flair to produce offense, while the three-ball gives him a scoring threat away from the rim. His creativity is a strength when it leads to an advantage, and the next step is making sure the flash stays connected to efficient decisions. He should continue improving shot selection, simple passing reads and pace against physical pressure. Defensively, consistent engagement and point-of-attack toughness will round out the profile. Rader has the tools to become a dependable scoring playmaker when he values possessions and uses his handle to create high-quality looks for the entire group.

Read EvaluationJoshua Burish | Prep Hoops Scout
Youngest player at the event, Rader competed up at the freshman level and showed he could hold his own against older competition. Liked his competitiveness and quickness defensively, along with a promising foundation as a ball handler. He played with confidence under pressure and showed some upside as a perimeter shooter. For a 2032 playing up, there’s plenty to like and he’s a name worth monitoring as he continues to develop.

A 2032 kid who played up two years. Long-term potential makes him a guy to monitor over the next five years. Stood o it with his sharpshooting abilities. Buried a deep three at one point in his first contest. Adding a couple more later on. Made flashy plays as a passer with solid footwork, too.
