A post-grad via Ohio, James will run the show for a high-octane Bridgeport Prep lineup and impressed with his balanced game on Saturday. James is strong and compact and plays a no-nonsense game as a true floor general. He did well to keep the ball moving while spoonfeeding teammates for open looks both from 3 and around the rim. He’s capable of knocking down open shots from 3 in his own right and brings nice physicality and intensity to the point of attack on the other end of the floor. College coaches in the region who value a throwback-style lead guard should start getting familiar with James in his new locale.

-James had a phenomenal afternoon for Bridgeport in a marquee matchup with DeMatha as a movement shooter that constantly found gaps in the defense to fire away from deep. Love the confidence to take some of the off-balance jumpers coming off of pindowns or behind screens that he chose to reject to get off another look from deep. Despite the fact that he drilled eight (8!!) threes, he remained an aggressive driver and did a great job of facilitating to teammates in the halfcourt.
