Devin was already having a strong game for Milwaukee Lutheran on Monday night, but when overtime came around he flipped a switch and absolutely took the game over. Right after the opening tip he was looking to attack, and score the first six points of OT to put his team ahead for good. Davenport is one of the more intriguing unsigned seniors in Wisconsin, as he’s an extremely explosive athlete whose skills have only continued to improve. He can finish above the rim with ease, changes his speeds well to get to the rim, but can also create and knock down jumpers off the bounce. Defensively he’s an extra shot blocking threat because of his ability to elevate in help-side position, and also does well moving his feet with guards. Finished with 27 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks in the win.

Devin is not only one of the most exciting players to watch in the whole state, but he’s also turned into one of the most productive. After going down with an injury just a couple minutes into the game, Devin came back in a few minutes later and immediately made an impact. Took the ball to the hoop for two finishes, and just moments later caught the ball on the wing, drove down the lane, and elevated through traffic for an emphatic two-hand slam. He didn’t quite look 100% throughout the game, but was still making plays driving to the basket, drawing fouls, and even creating space for a couple of jumpers. Very intriguing prospect whose best basketball lies ahead.

When considering the most entertaining basketball players in Wisconsin, Devin’s name has to be in the conversation. When the ball is in his hands he’s so unpredictable as he’s incredibly shifty and has an explosive burst to the basket. Davenport is so good at jumping lazy passes to get out in transition, and also has no problem beating one defender off the dribble to get into dangerous spots in the lane. Every time on the floor Devin seems to pull something new out of his bag of tricks. With his creativity and athleticism he’s able to finish in a variety of ways at the rim while also keeping his options open to deliver last second passes. Had a huge game against a tough Tosa West team while also making big plays against Elkhorn.

Devin was perhaps the most entertaining player to watch on Sunday. He’s such an explosive athlete with no shortage of confidence in his ability to score the basketball. Davenport was throwing down some impressive dunks not only in transition but also in the half-court as he was able to get into the lane off the dribble and elevate off one or two feet. When he wasn’t playing above the rim, Davenport showed he can catch fire from three and knock down shots off the dribble. Had a sequence in which he drained 3-4 triples in quick succession. Athletic guard to know out of Milwaukee Lutheran.
