Sumpter was a consistent scoring and playmaking presence for Jordan throughout the entirety of the game and was a huge part of that 3rd quarter run with his active pressure defense. Sumpter is enjoying a really nice season for Jordan, averaging 12.3 Points, 4.1 Rebounds, and 2.3 Assists per game, all on 39/31/70 splits. Sumpter had a heavy load on his plate in this one but was able to make shots and find teammates to keep Jordan in the game and give 19-1 Apex Friendship a real scare on the road. He’s got good size for a guard that can play on the ball, deep range, and a ton of confidence. Sumpter finished with 16 Points in the narrow defeat. As Jordan continues into conference play and the playoffs, Sumpter could prove to be a quality late next level option for programs looking for guys that can come in and score the basketball.
