Michael Roth | Prep Hoops Scout
A 2025 still playing at the grassroots level before moving on to college, Holley is a big-time athlete who can dunk and swat shots that few players can. His combination of a quick first step and perimeter shooting ability make him a tough player to guard on the perimeter. Holley finished with a team high 17 points and helped bring his team back into the game in the second half. A ton of upside with Holley, he was younger than a handful of 2026 prospects who saw the court today and should benefit from some extra development at the JUCO level.

Holley went over the 1,000 point mark this season and is one of the youngest players in Ohio’s 2025 class, a college program looking to develop him or a JUCO/Post Grad program looking to increase his exposure could both be interesting options for the high-flying wing who was a standout at our Prep Hoops Expo Showcase in the fall.

Still a sleeper in northeast Ohio, Holley doesn’t generate the same buzz a lot of players with his talent level do around the area. I’m not really sure why because Holley is electric to watch with his ability to fly in the air as an elite vertical athlete who tries to tear the rim down on dunks. Combine that with his ability to knock down time and space 3-pointers and a couple finishes in the paint where he was simply too big and too strong to be stopped and Holley had a dominant performance on Friday morning to open the day.

One of the top players at our Prep Hoops Expo, Holley is a monster athlete who is also extremely young for his grade. Turning the corner with his production, Holley has the tools to become a Division I player down the road. I’m hoping to get to see Holley at least once this winter to see his continued progression and development. Feels like Holley has gone from a complete unknown heading into the spring to now a household name in northeast Ohio and starting to get noticed by college programs as well.

Holley just came to the Prep Hoops Expo where he put on a show with his athleticism and powerful dunks. One of the youngest players in the 2025 class, Holley screams upside. A sleeper compared to a lot of other prospects in his range of the rankings, Holley should be a known product in northeast Ohio and beyond. Hoping Holly can get the deserved buzz we think he’s capable of producing, lots of talent on this wing.

The best athlete in attendance, Holley had some monster dunks that got everybody in the gym going crazy. The power, strength and athleticism of Holley is a sight to see and he was getting out in transition and playing above the rim at a high level on Saturday. Also able to stretch the floor and knock down shots off the catch, Holley had a handful of 3-pointers as well. I love the upside of Holley and he continues to rise up our rankings, I expect him to have a monster senior season and he will have a handful of options at the college level due to his age and talents. Could be worthwhile to explore post grad or redshirt options but regardless of his path, I’m buying stock in Holley long term.

One of the youngest players in Ohio’s 2025 class, Holley is still developing but making strides rapidly and becoming a consistent producer against other top talent. A player who has made a leap as a perimeter shooter, Holley knocked down a handful of perimeter shots on Saturday morning. While he’s making more shots from the perimeter, I still think Holley is at his best when he’s attacking the rim off the dribble and crashing the offensive glass. With his high school team he needs to be the primary scorer but I also love the rebounding and physicality he plays with at the grassroots level. With his frame and athleticism, Holley makes impact defensive plays and had some big blocked shots as a secondary rim protector. With his age and trajectory, Holley will have a chance to be a Division I player when it’s all said and done. In today’s current recruiting climate, it might take a JUCO, post grad or redshirt year before he makes that jump but Holley has the natural ability to play at that level.

I’ve seen All Ohio Select for a couple games already this spring and Saturday afternoon Vs Griffin Elite was by far Holley’s best performance to date. Holley was straight up dominating the glass, getting every rebound that came near him. With his toughness and strength, Holley was a man amongst boys when it came to securing loose balls. Also showing some flashes offensively, Holley had a couple second chance buckets, threw down a dunk from the dunker spot and hit a spot-up wing 3-pointer. One of the youngest players in Ohio’s 2025 class, Holley has a ton of upside down the road. Still learning how to consistently impact the game, Holley is a kid I think will be better later in his college career and should continue to rise as he matures and develops. One of the hidden gem prospects across northeast Ohio, I expect his stock to explode between now and July if he plays like he did on Saturday on a consistent basis.
