A little of an unknown to a lot of people, but I can say right now that it won’t take long for Dean to make his presence known in the 2030 class. An explosive athlete that lives above the rim in the halfcourt and transition. He can be a lob threat when he’s filling the lane in transition, making it easier for point guards to tally assists. His versatility also allows him to grab a rebound and go coast to coast in a hurry.

That versatility also spills over to the defensive end. His skillset, athleticism, and versatility allow him to guard multiple positions. While the on-ball defense is not where I think it will end up being, he excels as an off-ball defender. Blocking shots from the weakside and jumping passing lanes to initiate fast break opportunities are things he does at a high level. Blending in the potential defensive upside with the explosive offensive nature he plays with makes Dean a player you must watch in the 919 area.
