Johnson really thrived navigating to the rim and getting paint touches with ease. He was able to get to the foul line. He is really strong and has a good first step. He uses his length to gather steals and apply great pressure. Johnson finished with 17 points. Johnson converted two 3 pointers. In the future I would like to see Johnson become more efficient from deep.

It remains to be seen if Johnson ultimately finds the right offer in 2024 or if he takes a post-grad year. There are a number of local programs keeping tabs on him so he may find the right fit this season after the portal closes. On the floor, he’s a quick guard with range out to three point land and a good finisher around the rim. The NY native is a different player but reminds me a bit of Texas Corpus-Christi Guard Dian Wright-Forde in the sense that it’s very hard to keep him out of the lane and he handles contact well.
