About Damann
Expert Analysis
Max Wagner | Prep Hoops Scout
Damann was a two-way standout this past weekend for Bradley Elite. Listed at 6’3 he combines a long wingspan with explosive athleticism that allows him to defend just about every spot on the floor. He did a nice job of getting up in the passing lanes and using his length to pick up steals and deflections throughout the game. Young was dangerous in transition as he can cover a lot of ground quickly with the ball, and uses his athleticism to glide to the rim for finishes. Plays with an endless amount of energy and seemed to get better while other players were tiring out towards the end of the game.

Damann Young has the physical tools to make an impact on both ends of the floor. At 6’3 he has a long and lanky frame, with the bounce to make plays around the basket. Defensively he excelled at jumping passes for steals, and from there was able to go coast-to-coast for transition buckets. In the half-court he’s able to change directions quickly off the dribble, while also having the quick first step to beat defenders with a straight line drive to the rim. He put together a productive weekend for Bradley Elite.
