This high-flyer from Port Charlotte seems to have fun every time he steps on the court. He plays the game with energy and passion and never takes a play off. Lambert is a tremendous rebounder on both ends of the floor and won’t back down from any assignment on defense. He has the ability to score on all 3-levels, and really excels in the transition game, where he likes to get out and run and play above the rim.

Lambert is dual-sport athlete who plays the game with a lot of energy and emotion. His length and athleticism allow him to guard multiple positions on defense, and he is a great transition player who likes to get out and run. He has excellent leaping ability and is quick off the floor, where he rebounds the ball very well on both ends of the court. Lambert is a great two-way player, who did a little bit of everything for the Pirates in their win over Berkeley Prep this past weekend.

This long, athletic sophomore is a vocal leader for his Pirates, but he also leads by example with his play on the court. Lambert is a very talented prospect who just loves the game, where night in and night out he brings a little swagger to his game and you can just tell he’s having fun out there. He is a 3-level scorer who plays the game fast and is tremendous in transition where he likes to play above the rim. He has great handles for his size and has above-average vision, where he looks to get his teammates involved. In a recent outing, Port Charlotte got off to a slow start and it was Lambert who took on the role of leader, trying to calm down his teammates and not let them get frustrated during the adversity. Look for this sophomore to help lead his team in the ladder half of this season and the remainder of his career.

I’ve always known Lambert to be an elite scorer and aggressive at getting to the rim, but on Saturday he slowed it down a little and showed me another side of his game. Defensively the 6’4″ sophomore was able to guard multiple positions, and was jumping the passing lanes trying to get out in transition. As always Lambert was a huge asset on the boards for the Pirates, but what really stood out to me was his ability to become a PG and run the offense. He showed tremendous court vision this past weekend, as he took on the role of facilitator for Port Charlotte. He constantly had the ball in his hands, not trying to force anything offensively, but find his teammates for an open shot. If Lambert keeps adding to his game like this look for his stock to continue to rise, and become a high-level prospect.

Lambert, a dual-sport athlete, is aggressive and plays the game with a chip on his shoulder. The sophomore prospect is a well rounded player who is an asset on both ends of the floor. He’s an emotional player who rebounds the ball well and won’t back down from any assignment on the defensive side of the ball. Offensively, Lambert likes to attack the basket and finish above the rim, but has the ability to score from outside also. He’s an above-average passer and will be a major contributor for the Pirates this season.

Dallas Lambert, A 6-4 sophomore guard has a great burst in his game where he can get by defenders finishing above the rim as well as pulling up from the mid-range. He is aggressive on the defensive end as well as he can jump into the passing lanes causing a lot of havoc for opposing guards. His length has continued to stand out as he has great mechanics on the offensive end moving exceptionally well without the ball in his hands. Lambert averaged nearly eight points and three rebounds per game last season as a freshman.

The 6-4 rising sophomore is one of the top multi-versatile players you will find in the Southwest Florida area. He can finish in a variety of ways whether it’s at the rim through traffic or off the catch from beyond the arc. Lambert is also very athletic on the defensive end of the floor where he can get timely blocks and can go rebound with the best of them. College coaches will start to take notice on Lambert sooner rather than later as he is poised to have a big sophomore season.

The 6-4 rising sophomore was one of the more intriguing prospects I saw on Day 1 as he was finishing around the rim and brought a ton of athleticism. Lambert wasn’t afraid of the challenge as he played with SWFL Hoops 17U as he was facilitating as well as bringing high energy on the defensive end of the floor. Lots of upside for Lambert going into his sophomore season.
