The first thing noticed from Cooper was the physicality. At 6’5 and about 190 pounds Rohr has a quick bounce that led to transition, putback, and lob finishes, some of them as two hand impressive dunk finishes.
As a lefty he can finish around the rim from angles the defender didn’t expect and he’s already got the two foot lift advantage and the height edge. Throw in the jumper coming from that angle and it’s another edge for the second team honored all league player.
This past weekend Cooper had a right hand attack blow-by where he beat his man AND then just jumped over the help defender who was pretty much helpless. It’s hard to defend his agility with a big so forwards have to guard him and Rohr is just too quick, agile and strong facing up or back to the basket against a lot of the wings in this event.
