Despite being the focal point of opponent’s defensive strategies, Upper Moreland’s No. 1 offensive option is averaging 13.6 points in the 5A state tourney. In Upper Moreland’s quarterfinal upset of Msgr. Bonner, Campbell posted a tourney high 21 points (1 three). In half-court possessions, Campbell can score at every level. He also thrives at producing points in transition. Still, what college coaches will really love about Campbell are the intangibles he brings to the court. Campbell owns a high IQ, outstanding court awareness, is a vocal leader and plays with endless energy. Additionally, he is guard who competes on the glass and is a menacing defender. How this 2025 prospect remains available is a mystery.

Upper Moreland’s No. 1 offensive option and vocal leader delivered in a major way during their Elite 8 victory. Campbell (1,000+ points; 1st Team All-SOL) scored at every level in this game as he tallied 21 points (1 three). His clutch two-way play in the 3rd Quarter that was especially impressive. In that third quarter Campbell posted 7 points, was a defensive menace and grabbed a couple key rebounds. His energized play during that stretch helped kick start UM’s comeback. Campbell’s dribble pull up game was impressive, College coaches will love his ability to impact every facet of a game.

The Suburban One tournament runner up is led by one the most underrated two-way guards in the region. On offense, Campbell can produce points at every level. His accurate jump shot is an especially effective weapon from inside as well as outside the arc. Campbell excels at scoring of the dribble out of ball screen action too. Plus, Campbell can push the rock in transition and then finish through contact. Earlier this month Campbell scored 29 points (3 threes) against CB East. At the defensive end, Campbell’s anticipation skills and quickness enable him to repeatedly slice through passing lanes for steals. His high IQ and constant communication keep UM connected on defense. Lastly, Campbell is an underrated rebounder.

Thanks to his elite perimeter shooting, last season Campbell was a consistent 15+ point scorer as well as 1st Team All-SOL selection. In 2024-25 Colson’s game will feature a more well-rounded skill set and SOL opponents should be worried. The improvement in Campbell’s ball handling skills will enable him to run as a point guard who creates off the dribble for himself and teammates. Campbell can use his crafty handles to get into the mid-range for jumpers. His dribble drive skills can also get him into the paint for lay-ins or kick out passes. Campbell’s speed and high IQ allows him to push the rock on the fast break for scores or assists.
