Mallernee went unconscious from three during one of the camp segments, looking like a sniper as he caught fire from beyond the arc. He was nearly automatic for a stretch, showcasing the type of shooting stroke that can quickly change the momentum of a game. Mallernee has the versatility to play either the two or three and can be interchangeable within different lineups. I also liked his ability to run the floor in transition and get himself into scoring opportunities on the move. His smooth shooting mechanics and positional versatility give him added value as a perimeter option.
