Michael Yorke | Prep Hoops Scout
This was my second time watching Rivera this summer, and he continues to show why he’s one of the most underrated guards in the 2029 class, even while playing up a year on the 16U team. Rivera is an offensive weapon, scoring from all three levels, facilitating the offense, and showing off some of the best handles I’ve seen from a guard his age. Rivera not only gets to the rim at will, but also finishes through much taller and bigger defenders with extremely creative and crafty layups. Overall, I expect Rivera to get a lot more recognition very soon and to potentially become one of the best offensive guards in NJ.

Very fast lead guard with a quick first step and a great handle. Rivera controlled the pace of the offense very well and protected the ball while moving through traffic. As a scorer, Rivera attacks the basket well and is a crafty finisher. A very solid defender as well, annoying ball handlers on the perimeter, and picking up full court consistently.
