Brathwaite, a guard out of Cony High School in Maine, is the #2 ranked combo guard and checks in at #13 overall. The Class of 2029 has the chance to be one of the best to ever come out of the state of Maine and Brathwaite is a major piece of that. The 6’3″ guard has good size on the perimeter, plus length, and is a slippery athlete that can finish plays above the rim. He’s an elite, multi-level scorer that does a great job of scoring in isolation situations. Defensively, he’s capable of guarding any spot on the perimeter and has also been making a big impact on the glass. I’d expect him to be a breakout performer this spring, making a name for himself beyond the state’s borders.

Braithwaite, a freshman wing out of Cony High School, is as advanced of a first year prospect as you’ll find in Maine. At 6’3″, he has terrific positional size and plays with a high level of skill, allowing him to operate as an on-ball creator. He does a nice job of getting to his spots off the bounce, scores it in a variety of ways, and can really get out and make plays in transition. His length is an asset defensively and he shows a great understanding of how to play off of two feet on offense.

Brathwaite, a forward out of Cony High School in Maine, is a playmaking hybrid forward that does a great job of creating scoring opportunities with the basketball in his hands. He’s a long 6’4″ that has twitchy movements and knows how to create space with his length and shift with the ball in his hands. He does a nice job of playing at different speeds, has the ability to play off of two feet in the paint, and can really score the basketball from behind the arc. As he continues to develop, he’ll probably grow into the role of a jumbo playmaking guard, but right now also shows the ability to impact games around the rim as a finisher and rebounder.
