He really stood out at our Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase where he consistently drove it to the basket and finished up around the rim. His ability to handle the ball some and play through contact makes the Shelbyville High School product an incredibly difficult matchup.

We wouldn’t be surprised to see him as a contributor for Shelbyville sooner rather than later. He was definitely among the most impressive prospects at the Freshman Showcase.

The 6’3″ wing from Shelbvyille High School had some of the most impressive physical and athletic tools in the gym on Sunday. He was able to physically dominate many of his peers off of the dribble and had a lot of success scoring around the rim. Thoman also projects as a high-level positional rebounder. Whether he was scoring in transition, finishing with either hand at the end of his drives, or defending multiple positions Thoman was one of the most impressive prospects at the event.

An excellent athlete that has excellent on the baseball field, gridiron, and hardwood, Thoman enters his career at Shelbyville High School already checking a lot of boxes in terms of athletic and physical tools. We are excited to get eyes on Thoman and evaluate him among a high-level collection of his peers in the Class of 2029.
