Bryce is one of those players who doesn’t need to take shots to contribute to a game. It took him about three seconds to dish out his first assist in the game I watched, as he took the opening tip and zipped in a pass to a teammate cutting to the rim. Bryce sees the floor well and is able to use his 6’5 frame to deliver passes over the top of the defense. On the other end there weren’t many positions he couldn’t defend, as he moves well laterally against smaller wings, and is tough to move on the block. Dominant rebounder on the defensive glass.

What Bryce Skemp brings to the floor is impressive to say the least. Skemp is a prospect that stands at 6’3 going into 8th grade and he is extremely versatile. He can pass from the Point, score from the Wing, or post up near the basket against smaller opponents. Right now, Skemp’s game has to grow into his size frankly. He is very good for his age and his size is eye-opening. If he continues to handle the ball and he physically grows, he is going to be a really nice piece to whoever gets him at the high school level. By that time he will much more experienced and that experience will do him wonders in the long run. He showed glimpses of it this weekend and it was special to watch first hand.
