Goldman finalized his college plans with a commitment to the University of California, Irvine. One of the better perimeter scorers in this class, Goldman will look to leave his mark in New England on a talented squad at St. Thomas More. A bigger guard, he has the ability to play on or off the ball and can score at all three levels. He’s a terrific cutter, has some athletic pop, and shows some good burst off the bounce. He’s got a good feel for the game with the ball in his hands and show signs of being able to be a secondary ball-handler in the future. Defensively, he does a good job of keeping opposing ball-handlers in front of him and is a quality rebounder from the perimeter. Goldman provides UC Irvine with a big perimeter scorer that has the potential to develop into one of the better scoring guards in the Big West.

Goldman, who makes his way to St. Thomas More from California, had an excellent summer with BTI Select. A UC-Irvine commit, Goldman is a crafty three-level scorer that can get his shot off at any time due to his quick release and elevation. He does a nice job of attacking off the bounce and finishing in a variety of ways at the rim. He’s a solid athlete that has nice burst when he puts the ball on the floor. He’s tough in the open floor where he does a good job of running lanes off the ball and making quality decisions when he has the ball in his hands. On top of all that, he’s a terrific perimeter shooter that can make tough shots on the move. Defensively, his size and length allows him to guard up and down a position and he’s proven to be instinctive in passing lanes. He’s a big time scorer that should play a key role at St. Thomas More this winter before heading to the Division I level next year.
