Colby Giacubeno | Prep Hoops Scout
Young was consistent throughout the afternoon when it came to find his mark from deep. Whether it came in 3v3 or 5v5, the freshman set to attend Centennial High School in Howard County can make his defender pay with any slight hesitation of time or space in a closeout. He’s capable of putting the ball on the deck and getting by his man where his burley frame comes in use as he initiates contact and frees up angles for himself to finish soft touch floaters either off the glass or high-arching style ones that drop softly into the net. He played the role of a wing in the 5v5 portion of the showcase as his team was equipped with ball dominant guards, but in this role I thought it really highlighted what he could do playing off the catch as a decision maker.
