About Bret
Expert Analysis
Philip Gray | Prep Hoops Scout
6’2-3 Point guard who has expanded his handles and his overall game since the last time I saw him a year ago. He got about 2 inches taller and is clearly working on finishing and scoring with his off hand more. His shooting is also better, plus his court vision on the swing pass is getting dangerous for opponents. He’s understanding the importance of getting into the paint once a play breaks down, which shows his overall IQ growth as well. The game is starting to slow down for him, which is gonna be scary.

In his final game at the next nationals, Bret almost dropped a 40-burger (in less than 35 minutes of play) to lead his team Kansas Select AAU squad, to victory to win 3rd place in the 13u division. His overall game consists of doing an amazing job at pushing the pace up the floor and increasing the tempo. He is technically a wing, but he can easily play point-forward and do a great job at it. Excellent shooter from the FT line and knows how to get there often.
